Great Geography Challenge.

Yesterday we all had a go at the Great Geography Challenge. We have started to mark these in class so will be able to find out how we did. I was impressed with how much the children had learned about their chosen challenges. These photos show some of the children answering their question activities.

Our Finished Calendar Art.

Here are our completed calendar art pieces. They each feature a tree in front of a background showing the four seasons. These will also be on display next week at the school, but in case you can't make it in here is a sneak preview!

Conservation Week Dress Up Day.

Calendar Art Under Construction.

Today we started to paint our calendar art pieces. We learned how to shade using different colours and I was impressed with how well the children did at this, considering it was the first time trying this for a lot of them. We are creating 4 different panels to represent the 4 seasons and we will glue them together with their finishing touches on Friday. They will be on display at school soon after. I will try to put pictures of some of them on to the blog as well so you can see what they look like when completed.

Sione's Shared Lunch.

Thank you to everyone who brought in the amazing food for the shared lunch today. It was a great way for us all to say goodbye to Sione. He had a really nice day and I know that lots of the other children did too.
